Abrasive Cutting Water Jet
Abrasive jet machining is widely popular in industries such as the automotive, aerospace, medical and glass to create precision parts from virtually any material. For higher quantity runs, this process is generally more accurate and less expensive than normal waterjet cutting. We have the latest water jet cutting technology which eliminates the common problems of stream lag and taper and allows us to cut faster and more accurately.
Our Water Jet Tolerances
Our water jet tolerance is primarily determined by the thickness of the material, and the speed of cutting. The water jet can cut thicker materials than our laser cutter, for example. A faster cut produces a looser tolerance with a less smooth edge and is less expensive. A slower cut, while producing a tighter tolerance and a smoother cut, is more costly. Our objective at Precision Wire is to balance these cutting conditions to provide each customer with the best combination of price and tolerance for their specific needs.
